Dave Binn is a National Football League long snapper for the San Diego Chargers. He is the last remaining player from the Chargers' lone Super Bowl team. One of the league's more consistent long snappers, Binn also displays great awareness and speedy coverage on punt plays. He was selected to the 2007 NFL Pro Bowl squad, making him the eleventh selection from the 2006 Chargers chosen to represent the AFC in Hawaii.
Binn attended San Mateo High School in San Mateo, California, and was a letterwinner in football, basketball, and golf. In football, he was a two-time All-Peninsula Athletic League honoree. He then played college football as a linebacker and long snapper for the University of California, Berkeley.
In the NFL, he has made himself known as one of the best longsnappers in the business. October 12, 2006 was Binn's 200th game. He will join Junior Seau and Russ Washington as the only Charger players to do that.
Binn attended the University of California at Berkeley, where he played in 42 games as a long snapper. He earned a BA degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 1995.
